The countdown to Christmas is upon us and the children
become more excited every day as the arrival of Father Christmas gets ever
closer. Although it is a very busy time of year it is also a very enjoyable one
because they are lots of fun activities which occur in school. Last Saturday we
held our Frost Fayre and it was a huge success. One of the outside stall
holders who came said it was the best Christmas fair that she had been to. Once
again I would like to thank all the members of the PTA and the parents, staff
and family who supported them in making it such a success. I would especially
like to thank Emma O’Brien and Simon Hall for co-ordinating the whole event. At
this stage we do not know exactly how much money we raised but as soon as we do
I know I will inform you.
On Thursday we had our Christmas Lunch which the children
always enjoy because we serve them. When the children finished their lunch the staff
had their lunch served to them by the Year 6. While the staff were enjoying
their lunch, the children had Christmas music in the playground and were taken
care of by parent volunteers who I would like to personally thank for giving
their time. I hope they enjoyed themselves as much as the children enjoyed
having them in the playground.
Next week is extremely busy with concerts, shows and parties.
I have sent the dates out twice of when all the events are taking place but if
you are unsure of anything you can check the ‘1st December’
newsletter on the website or contact the school office. With so much going on I
know that next week will just fly by and it will be the end of term and
Christmas before we know it. I hope you can find some time to relax this
weekend before all the madness begins.
