The school is a hive of activity today with preparations for
tomorrow’s Frost Fayre. All the children are very excited in anticipation of
the event and I know it is going to be a great afternoon. I will be assisting
Mrs Zegallo in the photo room where you can have your picture taken to put into
a fridge magnet, key ring fob or a photo frame so I hope to see lots of you
there. May I also take this opportunity to thank in advance the PTA for all
their hard work and preparation in organising the fayre. Just in case you have forgotten the fayre runs
from 12 noon - 3pm.
With only two weeks to go until the end of term Christmas
fever is certainly spreading throughout the school and we have noticed a change
in the children’s behaviour. We do not want to dampen their spirits because
Christmas is a magical time of year for children but it has been brought to my
attention that some of the children are coming into school more tired than
usual. I know that at this time of year it can be more difficult to get the
children to sleep because of their excitement and they are often attending
extra events which disrupt their routine, but can you try to ensure that they
still go to bed at their normal time. There are still two weeks until the end
of term and the children have a lot of learning to do and we do not want the
children tiring themselves out and being ill for Christmas.
Next week in school we have our Christmas lunch on Thursday,
which the children always enjoy. They love the fact that the teachers serve and
sing to them and the fact that they have music in the playground. Apart from
that we have quite a routine week.
I hope you all have a great weekend which includes popping
into our Frost Fayre. I look forward to seeing many of you there.
