I am going to start my blog the same way that I always do after a break and say that it is hard to believe that we have just returned to school after our Easter break. It is amazing how quickly the children settle and behave like they have never been away. It was nice to have a break and I hope you all enjoyed it. I am back on chocolate after giving it up for Lent so I am feeling very happy –it is amazing how a small piece of chocolate can help put a positive spin on things.

Next week all the summer clubs start and the children are always excited to be starting a new range of activities although our external clubs remain the same (Lego, chess, dance and art). If you have not signed your children up for these please do so.

We have started preparations in school for our coronation event which will be taking place on May 5th. As we just celebrated the Diamond jubilee last year, we have tried to do things differently for this event which is why the children will be performing dances. We will be sending out more details about the event next week. I do wish King Charles had chosen a later time of year for his coronation because there are rather a lot of assessments taking place in school this half term and I do think that July would have been a much better month - I also think that having three bank holidays in one month is too much.

I hope you all have a good weekend. According to the weather app the rain is due to return next week but let us hope that it is incorrect. I have a lot of meetings in the coming week so I will not be on the gate in the morning until Wednesday.
