I have been looking at spots all over today. We have not had an outbreak of Chicken Pox in school but the children have all been wearing something spotty in aid of Children in Need. We have been collecting in the donations but if you still have to donate online please do so and then we can send our donation off to Children in Need. I know that times are difficult but this is a very worthy charity that does a lot of good so if we can donate as much as we can I know that the money will be used to make a difference to children who really need the support.
Next week in school we have another mufti day on Friday.
This time it is in aid of the school because the PTA would like the children to
bring in an item to put in a Christmas Hamper so that we can have our annual
Christmas Hamper raffle which is a great fundraiser for the school. Before you
send the item in can you check that it will still be in date until at least
Christmas which, in case you do not know, is December 25th. In a few
weeks, we will be asking you to purchase raffle tickets to try and win one of
these hampers and I assure you that as someone who has won one in the past, they are well worth winning. My family still talks about the year we had extra
treats at home because I won a Christmas hamper.
Another thing that we have to look forward to next week is
the Year 4 assembly. This is on Friday as well and I know that all the Year 4
children are looking forward to performing in front of their family and the
school. May I remind those of you who have young children that if you are
bringing them to watch the assembly (and we do love them to join us) if
they do create a disturbance you take them out of the hall. There is a lot
of preparation that goes into putting the assemblies on and the children
performing are usually nervous so they need to be able to focus on what they
need to do. A fractious child can distract them from their presentation, which
could impact their confidence in doing something like this again in the
future. Thank you for your co-operation in following our request.
I hope you all have a great weekend. I think we can all agree
that autumn has definitely arrived and our weekends will soon be spent in
getting ready for Christmas which is very exciting but also a lot of hard work
so try and enjoy some relaxation time while you can.
